Lexus Manila, Inc. marks its first year of doing business in the Philippine luxury automotive scene this month. Since its brand debut in January 2009, it did not take long for Lexus Manila to make good on Lexus global reputation for production quality and customer satisfaction.
During its first year, Lexus Manila has responded to market trends by offering its customer a fresh option of luxury car line-up. As a way of showing appreciation to its clients, Lexus Manila celebrated its first anniversary by holding an intimate Lexus Owners Night last January 14 at Makati Shangri-La Plaza. Customers, composed of experts in various fields and leaders of different companies, were treated to an encouraging 2010 Economic Briefing by Dr. Ramon M. Quesada, Executive Director of the Business Economic Club. The program ended with helpful Feng Shui insights from certified expert Ms. Marites Allen, also the President and CEO of World Feng Shui (WOFS) Philippines. Wittingly hosted by TV personality David Celdran and serenaded by the wonderful music of saxophonist Rex Galvez, over 60 guests truly felt exclusively at home with Lexus Manila.

Lexus Manila Inc. (LMI) and Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) partner with the prominent Alabang Country Club, Inc. (ACCI) for one of their biggest annual event, the 2010 Alabang Country Club Super Raffle. The said event, to be slated in March 2010, aims to raise funds for ACCI’s Corporate Social Responsibility Efforts, as well as to express their gratitude for their members continued support and loyalty by featuring international Filipina artist, Ms. Lea Salonga.
Members of the prestigious ACCI are keyed up as the 2010 iteration of the eagerly-anticipated Alabang Country Club, Inc. Super Raffle kicked-off with a contract signing last November 4, 2009. The major prizes for next year’s esteemed Raffle were provided by LMI and TMP.
Lexus Manila, represented in the ceremonial contract signing by President, Mr. Daniel Isla presented the newest and most stylish member of the Lexus lineup, the 2010 Lexus IS300 Convertible. The IS300C, in Dark Red Mica Metallic is the much-sought after grand prize. It is powered by a 3.0L V6 engine with dual variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) and is equipped with a 6-speed automatic electronically controlled transmission (ECT). The highlight of the car though is the elegant three-part retractable hard top, with a retracting time of just 21 seconds, it is the fastest three piece hardtop in its class.
Mr. Jose Maria Atienza, Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations of Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation, was also on hand as Toyota provided more of the prizes to be raffled off. They include the Toyota Hiace GL Grandia 2.5 M/T, Toyota Hilux 2.5 E Diesel 4x2 M/T and the Toyota Vios 1.3 J M/T.
The 2010 ACCI Super Raffle, spearheaded by Mr. Paulino Cortez and ACCI President Mr. Hermogenes Villareal, will be held on March 27, 2010. World-renowned songstress Lea Salonga will perform as members of the Alabang Country Club await their chance to win exciting prizes.

LEXUS took the prime awards in all four categories it was nominated in during the recently concluded C! Awards.
The 5th Annual C! Awards was held on July 15, 2009 amidst glitz and glamour. It was a well-attended event marked by high expectations of car manufacturers to grab the prestigious awards at stake. Members of the motoring media were present and shared the excitement of the night in anticipation of the announcement of the Best Automobiles for 2009.
LEXUS, despite being the newest entry into the motoring industry, won the highest awards in the four categories where it was nominated in. The LEXUS IS300 was named winner in the Best in Premium Sedan category while the GS460 model was recognized as the best in the Premium Executive Sedan category. The LX 570 model, was best in class in the Premium SUV category. The LEXUS flagship model, the ultra-luxurious LS460L was awarded as the Best Premium Luxury Sedan, further reiterating the recognition given to it by international journalists as the 2007 World Car of the Year.
In the same Awards Night, C! Magazine named DANIEL ISLA, President of Lexus Manila as the recipient of the first Pocholo Ramirez Achievement Award in recognition of his contribution to the growth of the automotive industry.

Lexus, Subaru and Hyundai got 10 out of a possible 25 honors in the recently concluded 5th annual C! Awards at One Esplanade in Pasay City.
Lexus garnered four trophies – Best Premium SUV, Best Premium Luxury Sedan, Best Premium Executive Sedan and Best Premium Sedan - for the LX 570, the LS 460L, the GS 460 and the IS 300, respectively.
Subaru took top honors in the Best Premium Compact Car, Best Five-Seater Compact SUV and Best Mid-Size SUV for the Impreza WRX hatchback, the Forester 2.5 XT and the Tribeca.
Hyundai landed three awards – Best Sport Sedan or Coupe, Best Mini-Compact Car and Best Full Size People Carrier – for the Genesis Coupe 3.8L V6, the i10 and the Grand Starex VGT GLS (12 seater).
Honda, Porsche and Ford each garnered two awards. The Japanese manufacturer won the Best Subcompact Car (for the Jazz 1.5 i-VTEC) and the Best Executive Car (for the Accord 3.5 S-V). Porsche won the Best Cabriolet/GT (for the 911 Targa PDK) and the Best Premium Super SUV (for the Cayenne GTS). Ford bagged the Best Compact Car and the Best Full Size SUV trophies, for the Focus 2.0L TDCi and the Expedition Eddie Bauer EL.
Two speedsters from Germany were awarded, albeit for different categories – Audi’s R8 V8 (Best Sportscar) and BMW’s M3 Coupe DCT (Best Premium Sedan/Sport Coupe). Suzuki’s APV Type II bagged the Best Compact People Carrier category, while Kia’s Carnival EX CRDi LWB nailed the Best Midsize People Carrier award.
Two manufacturers going neck and neck for top overall sales honors – Mitsubishi and Toyota – were also lauded, the former for its Montero Sport 3.0 Di-D 4x4 A/T (Best Seven-Seater Compact SUV), the latter for its Innova 2.5G A/T (Best Multi-Purpose Vehicle). Mercedes Benz’s GLK 280 4MATIC won the Best Premium Compact SUV, while the Nissan Frontier Navara LE 4x4 won the Best Pickup category.
The Ferrari California was lauded as the Best Supercar, and the 430 Scuderia was named C! Magazine’s 2008 Drive of The Year.
