Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) announces that it will conduct a Special Service Campaign to address the problem concerning the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) program in certain Land Cruiser Prado vehicles.

For Land Cruiser Prado with 18-inch wheels and equipped with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS*) and VSC, the activation of the VSC may not be sufficient in certain circumstances due to the setting of the VSC program.

In circumstances in which advanced driving skills are required, such as when a driver of the involved vehicle sharply turns the steering wheel in high-speed conditions, or when the driver negotiates a curve at excessive speeds, the vehicle could slide sideways.

Toyota will update the VSC program to enhance the effectiveness of the VSC so that the risk of the vehicle sliding, even to the point that it is almost sideways, will be reduced.

Toyota places high priority on the quality of its vehicles and is constantly monitoring the performance of its vehicles through a variety of quality programs. As customer satisfaction is of paramount importance, Toyota has decided to conduct the special service campaign for concerned Land Cruiser Prado models. No other Toyota or Lexus vehicles are affected by this recall in the Philippines.

TMP has started contacting its Land Cruiser Prado customers and will perform home service repair at no cost to the customers. Customers may also contact TMP customer assistance hotline at telephone number 819 2912, or any authorized Toyota Dealer nationwide.

*Optimally adjusts the front and rear stabilizers so that the stabilizers disengage in rough road conditions, thereby preventing the vehicle from pitching in curves.

What is in a color? Color is one of the simple ways to express one’s character and to utterly spice up everyday living. Color brings out a spectacle of style, emotion and culture. Red signifies energy, silver portrays modernism and elegance while black exudes authority and timelessness.

Just like in fashion, certain color trends are apparent in the automotive world. Several factors are being considered before finally choosing which vehicle to buy and color plays one of the significant drivers in this decision-making process. Nowadays, consumers are getting savvy about the latest color trends.

Silver hues are the current favorites as these exude a sense of high technology and class. The popularity of silver evolves into a more colorful variation. Silver now transcends and harmoniously blends with other metal-like colors like titanium, bronze and gold.

The perfect example is Honda’s latest color for its 2010 CR-V, the Urban Titanium. Urban Titanium is on the beige and brown range. Such warm tone exudes sophistication and distinctiveness that perfectly matches the CR-V’s urbane yet tough over-all design. “In our non-stop dedication in providing new values for our customers’ ultimate satisfaction, Honda takes pride in offering modern colors that complement the car’s fit and finish. Urban Titanium presents a lavish touch that blends well with the CR-V’s premium styling.” said Mr. Hiroshi Shimizu, President and General Manager of Honda Cars Philippines, Inc.

To balance its modish color and style, the 2010 CR-V bears features that let you crossover to life’s different adventures and keep up with the demands of modern living. For instance, the CR-V has a fuel meter located on the instrument panel which displays instantaneous and average fuel consumption. This feature comes in very handy especially with the fuel prices escalating nowadays. Meanwhile, urban frenzy becomes easily manageable with the CR-V. Be it highly congested roads in the metropolis or long distance trips, a comfortable ride can be assured with the added seals and insulators on the CR-V which reduce noise, vibrations and harshness levels. Also, tackling of inner-city roads and tight spaces become trouble-free with the CR-V’s improved suspension. Honda applied some adjustments on its suspension for better steering response and maneuverability.

Check-out how the CR-V’s urban titanium color artistically blends with the city landscape. Visit www.hondaphil.com or any of Honda’s 26 dealership network nationwide.
