The X-Trail CVT’s design was inspired by the designs of the toughest and authentic SUV in Nissan’s product line-up. One might find it similar to X-Trail’s earlier models, that’s because the chief designer maintained that tough and functional features known to the X-Trail. Based on the comprehensive research among first generation X-Trail owners, they loved their car so much that they did not want to change a thing. Hence, the all-new X-Trail applies the styling concept “function oriented design” intended to appeal rigidness, comfortable roominess and good visibility leading to good maneuverability. The all-new X-Trail CVT boasts a new chassis and new body, and new features to make the new model attractive to the new generation of buyers.

The all-new Nissan X-Trail CVT features the XCVT (Xtronic Continuous Variable Transmission) known to Nissan that guarantees drivers a smooth driving experience. Whether for city driving or on a challenging terrain, the Xtronic CVT provides smooth gear change to suit customers’ needs for more natural, powerful sensation of acceleration, which means lesser fuel consumption. This means, a stress-free “no-shift-shock” for that driving comfort.



Powered by QR25DE in 2.5-litre engine displacement, the all-new X-Trail is built to provide high engine torque and output. The improved QR engine was designed to improve combustion and optimize performance. It also generates lower noise and vibration. This gutsy QR engine with twin overhead camshafts delivers peak performance of 170 hp of power and maximum torque of 230Nm.



With the all-new Nissan X-Trail CVT, one is sure to experience comfort and driving stability as it is built with a newly developed suspension system designed in Europe. The new suspension system responds to the condition especially on a bumpy road and long driving. Its front adopts high caster strut for straight line stability at high speech cruising while its rear adopts a multi-link system for optimum luggage space and driving stability.

This new model also features a tight minimum turning radius of 5.3m, curb-to-curb, the minimum in the market! This will come handy in city driving especially giving one ease in maneuvering in tighter spaces or parking.

Boasting of the Advance Technology

The all-new X-Trail utilizes an All mode 4x4 electronically-controlled 4WD system. This delivers excellent 4WD performance plus reduced weight and size of drivetrain. The system transmits only the necessary torque, preventing the transmission of excessive torque.



It also features a Mode control dial ideal in selecting driving mode at any speed or in any driving condition. The control dial is conveniently situated behind the gear level in the center console, allowing drivers to choose whether to go 2WD or auto, as well as 4WD. In normal driving situations, the 2WD mode offers the best fuel economy for everyday driving. The Auto preference, on the other hand, monitors engine speed and acceleration. It automatically distributes the required torque to the rear wheels when needed. If opting to use the 4WD, you may use the lock mode that locks the center clutch for fulltime 4WD operation.
It also features a Cruise Control function which is sure to delight drivers who go for long driving trips. The Cruise Control function allows the driver to dictate the vehicle speed. It is mounted on the steering wheel that lets the drivers accelerate at the touch of a button. For challenging terrains, the all-new X-Trail’s all mode 4x4 electronically-controlled 4WD system will be very useful. This feature allows the all-new X-Trail CVT to deliver excellent 4WD performance together with reduced weight and size of drivetrain as well as allowing the system to transmit only the necessary torque, preventing the transmission of excessive torque – definitely one way to be fuel efficient.

The new model was also designed with safety features that include six Airbags, High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps for better intensity and longer illumination when driving in the dark, and a Zone body concept for additional safety and protection in case of frontal crash.
