The groundbreaking Volvo XC60 clinched the Premium Compact SUV recognition at the recently held 6th Annual C! Magazine Awards. This recognition reinforces the top qualities of this bold, sporty and muscular AWD vehicle with the world’s first preventive safety technology – City Safety.

City Safety is a function that senses if vehicles ahead are moving more slowly or are at a standstill. In a situation where the calculated braking force needed reaches a certain level and the driver has not reacted, the City Safety function senses that a collision is imminent.
 The function is a standard feature that is active if the car's speed is below 30 km/h. In situations where the difference in speed between the two vehicles is 15 km/h or less, a collision can be completely avoided. In a potential collision situation in which the difference in speed between the vehicles is between 15-30 km/h, the consequences of the impending collision can be considerably reduced because the system will intervene to reduce speed before the collision
occurs.

The XC60 is charged with emotive form and energy, offered locally with a 2.4L turbocharged engine and a 3.0L petrol engine that spews out 285bhp and 420Nm of torque.
