Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is set to unveil the New Corolla Altis line-up at the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show on August 19-22 at World Trade Center, Pasay City. Enhanced with a sporty and elegant fascia that complements its superior technology and refined driving performance, the New Corolla Altis will be available in the market in September.

The New Corolla Altis inherits the solid and bold design embedded in the Corolla DNA. It incorporates a sophisticated and aggressive design that embodies class-above overall quality. Its refreshed exterior sports significant improvements in terms of style such as smoked headlamps, front bumper with fog lamps and a bar type front grille with mesh. On the side, it features sharply shaved surfaces accentuated by its smoked rear combination lamps, side spoilers, and sporty 5-spoke 16” alloy wheels.



On the inside, the cabin is redesigned to fit in a new dark gray upper interior color that creates a refined atmosphere for the passengers the moment they open the door. To enhance overall driving experience, a host of innovative instruments are included such as optitron meters, integrated 2DIN In-Dash 1CD/mp3 with 6 speakers with auxiliary input and automatic climate control with digital push type control panel with clean air filter. Superior cabin comfort is achieved with the 5 optimally sized seats for driver and passengers, with power adjust function for the 2.0L variant.

In terms of performance, the Corolla Altis boasts of a Dual VVT-I , 4 Cylinder In line DOHC, 16 Valve for all variants. However, the 2.0L variant is alsp equipped with Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) that allows for more air intake for better fuel combustion. This cutting-edge technology allows for an optimal balance of power, fuel efficiency, as well as environmental performance as it reduces harmful emissions. The 2.0L variant yields a maximum output of 145hp at 6,200rpm and maximum torque of 187Nm at 3,600rpm while the 1.6L variants produce 122ps at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 154Nm at 5,200 rpm.

Toyota elevates the playing field with the adoption of the Super Continuously Variable Transmission-intelligent (Super CVT-i) system on 2.0L variant, which enables smooth acceleration while achieving maximum fuel efficiency. In addition, it is also equipped with a newly designed paddle shifting structure that offers seamless shifting and reduced noise and vibrations. On the other hand, the Corolla Altis is also available in 1.6L variants with a 6-speed manual transmission to cater to needs of customers who prefer a different driving experience.

To ensure driver and passenger safety, the New Corolla Altis is also equipped with active safety and security features such as a Global Outstanding Assessment (GOA) body, Whiplash lessening seats and dual SRS airbags.

The New Corolla Altis is available in six colors: Super White II, Silver Metallic, Medium Silver, Pearl White, Black Mica, and Beige Metallic. The line-up is offered at P1,135,000 for the 2.0V A/T variant (P1,150,000 for White Pearl color), P955,000 for the 1.6V A/T variant (P970,000 for White Pearl color), P894,000 for the 1.6G A/T variant, P858,000 for the 1.6G M/T variant, and P804,000 for the 1.6E M/T variant.
